Scouts:
Cookie Dough Deadline. Be sure to use all your cookie dough by December 6, 2002. Come by the shop or use it for an event, but spend it before the deadline. It will not be accepted after that date.
Wider Opportunities. Application deadline for wider opportunities is November 15. Cadette and Senior girls are eligible to apply. Financial assistance is available. Call Shirley Woodard at the Council Service Center for an application packet or more information.
Very Best In Youth. Nestle & Reading Is Fundamental is celebrating the spirit of achievement and service among young people. Girls ages nine (9) through eighteen (18) who have made reading a priority in their life and have made tangible contributions to the quality of life in their communities are eligible to apply for the 2003 Nestle Very Best In Youth award. Adult Uniforms. GSUSA has reached an agreement with Lands' End catalog company to carry casual adult uniform components starting in November 2002. The uniform components to be offered by Lands' End are polo shirts, tee shirts, turtlenecks, sweatshirts, khaki pants, and khaki shorts, all in a wide range of sizes. In November, Lands' End will mail a brochure featuring Girl Scout products to all adult members. Dress uniforms will still be sold through NES and can be ordered at the council shop.
